Mazda CX-3 is a 5-door small compact SUV that is manufactured by Mazda Motors. The CX-3 is a stylish, clever, and faster car that drives better than most cars in its category from 2015 to 2019.
Launched in 2015, the CX-3 is built on the same platform as the CX-2 and designed on Mazda’s SkyActiv philosophy of building cars that are efficient, light, attractive, and fun to drive.
Under the hood, the CX-3 followed Mazda’s ‘right-size’ approach by opting for larger engines with modest power outputs rather than small turbo units. There are four engines on offer, two petrol and two diesel, with a 1.5-liter SkyActiv-G petrol engine that produces 75 kW (100 hp) at 6000 rpm with average fuel consumption of 5.1 L/Km (46.2 mpg) and a top speed of 182 kph, the 2.0-liter SkyActiv-G petrol engine that produces 88 kW (120 hp) at 6000 rpm with average fuel consumption of 6 L/100Km (39.2 mpg) and a top speed of 195 kph (121 mph), the 1.5-liter SkyActiv-D turbo diesel engine that produces 78 kW (106 hp) at 4000 rpm with average fuel consumption of 5.2 L/100Km (45.2 mpg) and a top speed of 172 kph (107 mph), and the 1.8-liter SkyActiv-D turbo diesel engine that produces 86 kW (115 hp) at 4000 rpm with average fuel consumption of 4.4 L/100Km (53.46 mpg) and a top speed of 184 kph (114.33 mph). These engines were mated with either a 6-speed manual SkyActiv-MT or 6-speed automatic SkyActiv-Drive transmission with the option of an All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) or Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD).
Standard features of the CX-3 are the leather-wrapped steering wheel, power windows, power side mirrors, central locking, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, a rearview camera, Bluetooth connectivity, Mazda Connect infotainment system with a 7” display, cruise control, rear parking sensors, and six airbags.
The CX-3 seats are so comfortable as they were carefully designed for excellent support and feature height adjustment option. In this car, there is that spacious feeling due to the extra 40mm of height compared to Mazda2 and the seats being further apart. The rear seats can accommodate two adults, thanks to the concave sculpting of the front seats that offer that extra knee space for the rear passengers, and in addition to that, the CX-3 comes with a 350-liter boot that can be expanded to 1260-liters with rear seats folded flat.
The CX-3 has no center stack dividing the front cabin that’s why there is no mid-mounted stereo or display system. The infotainment display is placed at the top of the dashboard where it can be easily seen.

The CX-3 has attractive looks, with a five-point grille that is a bit angular compared to CX-5, with LED headlights and tail-lights that are sharply pointing. The standard CX-3 comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, while the high-end comes with 18-inch alloy wheels.
