The Toyota Estima is the second largest minivan produced by Toyota and sold in the Japanese market. Toyota Estima is known as Toyota Tarago in the Australian market and Toyota Previa in the Asian market. It has become the second-largest MPV in the Toyota lineup after Toyota Vellfire and Toyota Alphard and below are Toyota Voxy and Toyota Noah. Its popularity in the Tanzania market is very low. The Toyota Estima started production from 1990 to 2019.
From 1990 to 2019, the Toyota Estima has manufactured 3 generations. The 1st generation known as the XR10, XR20 was in production from 1990–1999. The 2nd generation known as the XR30, XR40 was in production from 2000–2005, and the 3rd generation known as the XR50 was in production from 2006–2019.
The Toyota Estima is mated with 3 engine options, the 2AZ-FE 2.4-liter engine, the 2GR-FE 3.5-liter engine, and 2AZ-FXE 2.4-liter I4 (hybrid) engine, which is available in both normal and hybrid versions. These are mated to either a 6-speed automatic, a 7-speed Super CVT-I, or a CVT automatic. These are available in both 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive.

Interior
The Toyota Estima has a superior cabin that is comfortable, spacious, and well-insulated from road–noise, allowing for normal conversations at higher speeds. The leg space is excellent on all 3 rows and can accommodate comfortably tall people. Higher grades come with luxurious seats that can lie flat and have leg support.
Storage
There are several storage compartments in the driver’s cabin, these are useful for storing items such as beverages, smartphones, handbags, goggles, etc. At the driver’s cabin, there is a door panel storage, 4 cup-holders, and glovebox. In the passenger(s) row, there are 2 cupholders. In the back row, there is storage on the side pockets.
