The 1997 Toyota LiteAce Noah is a member of the model’s third (1985-2007) generation, with the model code E-SR40G and an average fuel economy of 9.9-11.0 km/l.

Equally as popular as its brother the TownAce, the LiteAce Noah’s roomy interior and strong engine make it a beloved choice long past its production. There are two types of power units: inline 4-cylinder engine with 2L gasoline (130ps) and a 2.2L diesel turbo (91ps). There are two transmission types: a 5-speed Manual Transmission, and a 4-speed Automatic Transmission, in both front wheel drive and full-time 4WD. The seating capacity is mainly 8 seats with bench seats in the second row, but 7 seats with captain seats in the second row are also available. There are both 8- and 7-seaters, where the second row can be laid all-flat in a 2-3 layout or a 2-3 rotating counter seat layout. Both options allow the third row to lift up on both sides for easy luggage storage. In the 1998 Toyota LiteAce Noah, the engine is installed vertically in the nose. There are both 4WD and FR models, both with a FR basic layout and center differential. Two types of engines are available: an inline 4-cylinder engine with 130-hp 2L high-mechanical twin cam and a 94-hp 2.2L diesel turbo. There are two types of seat layouts: one includes a captain’s seat and a capacity of 7 people with 2-2-3 from the front, and the other includes a front bench seat and a capacity of 8 with 2-3 people from the front. The seats for 8 people mounted on the road tourer and G grades can face each other in the 2nd and 3rd rows, and the second seat of the field tourer can be used as a table when tilted forward. As a safety feature, all models will be equipped with dual airbags, ABS, and a seat belt with pretensioner and force limiter as standard.

The 1999 LiteAce Noah sees the addition of a special Memorial edition, with an inline 4-cylinder DOHC engine. The Memorial Edition comes in both front-wheel and four wheel drive models, though all come with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The Memorial Edition also updates its exterior look with new grilles and clear turn-signal tail-lamps, as well as UV cut and privacy glass. Like previous years, there are three roof types: standard, spacious (higher), and twin moon roofs. Navigation systems, dual air-conditioning, and CD player with AM/FM radio all come standard on this edition of the LiteAce Noah. Front seatbelts are fixed with pretensioners and force limiters for maximum protection, while the rear 3-point seat belts have special mechanisms to fix child seats. The 2000 LiteAce Noah has a full-time 4WD as well as a front-wheel drive with a FR basic layout and center differential + viscous. Two types of engines are available: an inline 4-cylinder 130 hp 2L Haimeka twin cam and a 94 hp 2.2L diesel turbo. There are two types of roof: a standard roof and a high, spacious roof. The “G Limited” and “Road Tourer Limited” are special vehicles based on the G grade. G Limited has an upgraded interior, with silver painted headlamps and front turn lamps, a metallic full wheel cap, special seats and leather door trim, wood grain dash trim, and power windows with one-touch sliding doors. The Road Tourer Limited is equipped with aluminum wheels, special striped tape, special seat and leather door trim, special sport meter, hammer tone instrument panel and power windows, and metallic front door inside handle.

The 2001 LiteAce continues the two classic seat layouts: a 7-seat capacity model with a captain’s seat, carrying 2-2-3 from the front; the second includes front bench seats, carrying 8 with 3-2-3 people from the front. In addition, the model “G 10 million Selection” was released in 2001 as a special model. This update includes two new colors, white pearl mica and silver metallic. It is also equipped with an electric retractable door mirror, colored door handle, and a colored mudguard.
