Mitsubishi Rosa ($4500~)
The Mitsubishi Rosa is a 25 seat (option for 16, 33, 41 (school bus) seats is available) minibus built by Mitsubishi. The Rosa comes fitted with a 4.9-liter turbocharged intercooler producing 150HP or the 5.2-liter that produces 148 HP with a choice of 5, 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. On the braking part, you get rear drum brakes, ventilated discs at the front, and ABS.
There Rosa offers a choice of standard or deluxe seats, with ample legroom. The aisle width and roof height are very good, enough for an average-sized person to fully stand up and walk through the bus upright.
Toyota Coaster ($4600~)
Toyota Coaster is a minibus manufactured by Toyota with a capacity of 8 to 30 passengers depending on the configuration. Standard features of the Coaster include power steering, air-conditioning, a reclining driver’s seat, reversing camera, ABS, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, and a center folding door. Optional features include two cup holders on the dashboard, power door locks, a gliding-type center door, and an upper window for the driver’s door. The Coaster comes with cloth fabric seats as standard, with the option of vinyl trim.
The Coaster has been around for many years and has been power by many different engines but from 1993 to the most recent models the common engines have been the 162 HP 4.0-liter N04C turbocharged diesel, the 165 HP 4.2-liter 1HD-T turbocharged diesel, the 90 HP 3.4-liter 3B diesel, the 133 HP 4.2-liter 1HZ diesel. These engines were attached to a 5, 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic.
Nissan Civilian ($4500~)
Nissan Civilian is a minibus manufactured by Nissan with a capacity of carrying plus or minus 26 passengers depending on seat configuration. The designers of the Civilian built it with a primary focus of creating a user-friendly, attractive, and comfortable bus. One of the necessary features of minibuses is the ease of embarking and disembarking, and Nissan gave this much consideration by adding a step from two to three but also creating one of the lowest step-up height of minibuses in this category.
The Civilian has been fitted with several engines in its entirety, but the most common is the 200 HP 4.5-liter (TB45) inline 6-cylinder diesel engine, the 177 HP 4.9-liter (4M50 by Mitsubishi) inline 4-cylinder diesel engine, the 145 HP 4.2-liter (TD42T) inline 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, and the naturally aspirated 135 HP 4.2-liter (TD42) inline 6-cylinder diesel engine.
Safety of the occupants was also considered with safety features such as lap seat belts, cornering lamps, rear-wheel lamps, a rear-view camera, driver’s side airbag, and ABS.
Hino Rainbow ($3000~)
The Hino Rainbow is a 26 to 29 seat medium-duty (midibus) bus manufactured by Hino Motors Japan. Its paired seats are covered in vinyl fabric, with each seat having a net pocket that can hold bottles, magazines, or other small items, there are also handles just above the net pocket that can be used to support passengers in case of a sudden stop or anything. Some models of the Rainbow also feature a folding bottle holder on each seat. The Hino is available in a low floor, low entry, or step-entrance configuration with the entrance having two foldable doors, or an outward swinging door. For the step-entrance configuration, there are three stairs with low step-up height.
The Hino has several engines to offer; here we will take a look at the two common ones. The 165 HP 6.0-liter (W06E) inline 6-cylinder diesel engine and the turbocharged 185 HP 3.8-liter (W04C) inline 4-cylinder diesel engine. These engines transfer power to the wheels via a 5 and 6-speed manual or 3 and 5-speed automatic transmission.
For the safety of occupants, the Hino has a 3 point seatbelt for the driver and lap belts for all passengers. The driver also gets a reclining and adjustable seat, a tilt telescopic steering, and a rearview camera that helps when reversing.
Isuzu Journey ($5500~)
The Isuzu Journey is a minibus manufactured by Isuzu Motors Japan since 1970. The Journey M is a 26 seat bus and the Journey L is a 29 seat bus, with other models having up to 50 seats. From 1993 the Isuzu Journey M and Journey L have been released as rebadged versions of the Nissan Civilian. The Journey has comfortable seats that are covered with a smooth fabric. Boarding and alighting from the Journey is made easier via the outward swinging passenger door where you find three easy stairs with a very low step-up height. The central passage towards the seats is wide enough making it easy to access the seats without hurting your knees or shin.
The Isuzu Journey has been fitted with a host of engines throughout, but most recently the turbocharged and naturally aspirated 4.2-liter (TD42) inline 6-cylinder diesel engine, that produces 145 HP and 135 HP has been used.
For safety, the Journey has lap seat belts for all passengers while the driver gets a 3-point seat belt. ABS braking and a rearview camera are other safety features.
Hyundai County ($4000~)
Hyundai County is a minibus manufactured by Hyundai Motors Korea since 1998. The standard County comes in a 29 seat configuration that allows occupants to sit comfortably in a roomier cabin. The driver is treated with a bucket seat, a power steering that can be tilted, and a sun visor. The interior has features such as fluorescent lights, a glove box, a rearview mirror with an overhead lamp, speakers, a free-flow ventilator, and a roof ventilator.
The County comes with a step-entrance which has three stairs made to make it easy for passengers to board and alight.
The County comes fitted with an 80 HP 2.6-liter (D4BB) inline 4-cylinder diesel engine or the turbocharged 138 HP 3.8-liter (D4DD) inline 4-cylinder diesel engine. These engines transfer power to the wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission or automatic transmission.
The County has several safety features which include seatbelts, ABS, Exhaust brake, and disk brakes.
