Toyota Prius has been introduced and manufactured since 1997 and the first mass-produced gasoline-electric hybrid car.

Toyota Ist is a subcompact car released in 2001 and was produced in 2002.

It is a 5-door hatchback that has a unique and great exterior styling with a wide front grille consisting of two thick horizontal bars, extended wheel arches that go beyond at the four corners, and large 15-inch tires.

The area around the instrument panel and door trim offer a metallic decoration. It is also known as the Scion xA and Scion xD in the United States, Toyota xA in the Middle East, and Toyota Urban Cruiser in Europe and Latin America.

The first generation Ist has two engine options: the inline-4 1.3L 2NZ-FE (FWD) with a power output of 64 kW (86 hp; 87 PS) torque of 121.0 Nm (89 lb.-ft); and inline-4 1.5L INZ-FE (FWD/4WD) with a power output of 77–80 kW (103–107 hp; 105–109 PS) torque of 138.0 Nm (101lb.-ft). Both engines are equipped with Super ECT transmission. The second generation was launched in 2007 and some features and equipment were added for the improvement of the car. The wheelbase has been expanded to give more space, extra legroom for the rear-seat passengers, and the instrument panel is now placed in front of the driver as well a G-BOOK subscription is offered as an option. The safety features include SRS airbags for drivers and passengers, side curtain airbags, active head restraint, and vehicle stability control. The Ist is equipped with Super CVT-i for the inline-4 1.5L 1NZ-FE (AWD) with a power output of 76–80 kW (102–107 hp; 103–109 PS) and inline-4 1.8L 2ZR-FE with a power output of 97 kW (130 hp; 132 PS) and a fuel economy of 18.6 km/L. The Urban Cruiser is the second generation Toyota Ist that was known to Europe and Latin America. It has different front panels and is fitted with an inline-4 1.3L 1NR-FE petrol engine with a power output of 73 kW (98 hp; 99 PS) and an inline-4 1.4L turbo diesel with a power output of 66 kW (89 hp; 90 PS). The production of Ist was stopped in March 2016 and replaced by Yaris Cross in 2020.

The petrol engine 2.0L QR20DE inline-4 and 2.5L QR25DE inline-4 has also its fuel-saving technology that achieved 10 or 5 percent improvement in fuel economy with a 9.9 km/L.

Toyota (Allion) (From $1,400~)

Toyota Allion is a 4-door compact sedan sold in Japan between 2001-2021. It is the twin of Toyota Premio and launched at the same time.

The Allion is a sporty-looking car that emphasizes the younger buyer’s adventurous and sporty nature. It can be equipped with front spoilers, rear-mounted trunk wings, and rear tilting seats.

By July 2020, the 2.0L engine option was stopped, and in December 2020 the Toyota announced that the Allion would be discontinued in March 2021.

Toyota Premio was the twin of Toyota Allion and was released in 2001-2021.

The Premio is more luxurious and has an elegant approach design with its wood trim and chrome accents whereas the Allion is more sporty looking. The rear seat has a reclining function with well-padded seats and enough legroom for more comfort and convenience.
